The journal publishes original studies in the fields of history, international relations, political science, economics, and sociology, as long as they are related to Palestinian studies.

It is an online, open access, scientifically based, and internationally refereed academic journal published in Turkey biannually, in June and December. BPS, one of the oldest continuously published academic journals (since 2017) in the field of Palestinian studies in Turkey, publishes original studies based on analysis and research conducted in accordance with the scientific method in disciplines related to Palestinian studies.  The journal publishes original studies in the fields of history, international relations, political science, economics, and sociology, as long as they are related to Palestinian studies. Articles submitted to the journal must be original manuscripts that have not been published elsewhere and that are not currently being evaluated by another journal. The studies accepted for publication are evaluated through a “double-blind peer review” process in accordance with the rules of scientific ethics. The submitted articles are first subjected to the editorial board’s review, and their compliance with the journal’s rules is assessed. Articles that do not comply with these rules are returned to their authors, while the others are sent to referees for evaluation. All the articles are checked for plagiarism with the iThenticate plagiarism program. Views expressed in the published articles belong solely to the author(s). The owner, the editor, and the editorial board cannot be held accountable for the content of the articles.

Manuscripts that do not comply with the writing rules are returned to the author. Articles that include the author's name in the journal template are returned. Please pay attention to these warnings. Incoming articles are put in order and sent to referees after the editorial board review. There is no obligation to send articles uploaded to the system to referees. Therefore, articles that do not receive approval from the editorial board are not sent to referees. There are the acceptance process of submitted articles; parameters such as editorial board review, referee process, and the order of accepted articles.
The total process can take up to 12 months. The publication process may take even longer depending on these parameters. Thank you for your understanding.
