Abstract
On beşinci yüzyılda Katolik İspanya ve Portekiz’in
radikal tutumları yüzünden bazı Yahudiler yaşadıkları ülkeleri terk ederek Osmanlı
Devleti’ne iltica etmiştir. Tahrir verileri, Osmanlı’ya gelen mülteci Musevilerin
bir kısmının Safed başta olmak üzere bölgeye gelip yerleştiğini göstermektedir.
Bu makalede on altıncı asrın Osmanlı Kudüs’ünde Katolik-Yahudi münasebetleri
incelenecektir. Mahkeme kayıtlarının ışığı altında ilişkilerin nasıl teşekkül
ettiği muhtelif veçheleriyle ele alınacaktır.

Abstract
Witnessing radical attitudes of the Catholic Spain
and Portugal, large groups of the Jews abandoned their countries and sought
refuge in the Ottoman Empire in the fifteenth century. The Ottoman Tahrir data at
hand shows that some of the refugee Jews, came to the region to settle especially
in the Safed. Based on the Ottoman court records, this paper aims to discuss
various aspects of the Catholic-Jewish relations in the Ottoman Jerusalem in
the sixteenth century.
