Aim & Scope

The Journal of the History of Religions is published electronically twice a year (April and October) by the History of Religions department of the Department of Philosophy and Religious Sciences, Faculty of Theology, Ankara Social Sciences University. The Journal of the History of Religions attaches importance to share knowledge at national and international levels by including original academic researches in Turkish and English that deals with religious traditions and cultures in the world from the perspective of the history of religions. In this regard, our journal aims to publish with an academic and interdisciplinary vision in fields such as History of Religions, History of Religions Methodology, mythology and anthropology. The Journal of the History of Religions is a double-blind refereed, open access and electronically published journal. Our journal takes note of originality and original scientific publications. In the preliminary evaluation, articles that have not been published in another journal, comply with the journal acceptance conditions and are deemed appropriate within the scope of the journal field, are subjected to scientific evaluation by at least two referees who are experts in their field. The decisions and comments of the Editorial board and referees are taken into account in evaluating the articles and deciding on their suitability. The final decision regarding articles belongs to the Editor-in-Chief.
