Abstract
Bu
araştırmada, yazar temel konu olarak Ortadoğu'daki Hristiyan nüfusun hangi
nedenlerden dolayı azalmaya yüz tuttuğunu incelemeye çalışmıştır. Suriye ve
Irak ülkelerinde yaşayan Hristiyanlar ile konuyu sınırlamaya çalışan yazar,
aynı zamanda Arap Baharı öncesini temel almıştır. Ortadoğu Hristiyanlarının
bölgeden göç etmesinde ayırımcılık, ekonomik nedenler, güvensizlik ve
iktidarlar ile yaşanılan ilişkilerin önemli rol oynadığını irdeleyen yazar,
bölgenin geleceğindeki belirsizliğin de göç olgusunun kalıcı olmasında pay
sahibi olduğunu belirtmektedir.
